Dan M. Fisher
President & Chief Executive Officer
With over 35 years of experience in the financial industry, Dan M. Fisher is a leader in the banking world as a former director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and former Chairman of the ABA Payment Committee. He is also a noted speaker and author, and he has served on the faculty for the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, and the University of Mary at the Fargo, ND campus. Dan recently served on the Incubator Mentor Council at the Research and Technology Park at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND.
Specializing in technology and payment systems, Dan participated in the industry effort, with the Federal Reserve, to pass and implement the Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act, also known as Check-21. Dan currently writes a blog for the Banking Exchange website called “Beyond the Bank”. He is also a contributing editor for the magazine Banking Exchange.
Dan has authored or co-authored six books, along with numerous articles and white papers on technology, operations, and payment systems. In his spare time he wrote a Christmas children’s book titled “A Tree for Sam & Billy”.
Dan holds a Master’s Degree in Education, with an emphasis on Teaching and Technology, from Valley City State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Hawaii Pacific College.
Chief Financial Officer & Education Associate
As a life-long learner, Becky earned her Master’s Degree from Valley City State University in Technology Education. She also has two Bachelor’s Degrees, one from the University of Houston in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in reading and math, and the other in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. In 2010, she received her instructional coaching certificate for Differentiation and Writing Coach.
She currently is a professional educator—with teaching licenses in three states—within the Fargo Public School system, with past experience in teaching both at the elementary and middle school levels in general education, gifted and talented education, and Title I Math. She has also taught in a multi-age elementary school.
In addition, she serves as a Drop Out Prevention Coordinator, Assessment Literacy teacher leader, and a member of her school improvement team. A program that Becky developed, called “Math for parents,” received a grant from the Educations Minnesota Foundation for Excellence in Teaching. She conducted three Starlab® residencies.
Lynne M. Anstadt
Manager | Accounting Practice
Lynne began her banking career as Staff Auditor
for Norwest Audit Services, now part of Wells Fargo. From there, she has worked in various Bank
Operations and Accounting positions. As a member of the Senior Management Team
for Community First Technologies and Community First Bankshares, now Bank of
the West, she was responsible for financial reporting, reconcilement, and data
As part of the Bank of the West team, she rose to Executive Vice President, Branch and Customer Service Manager. Lynne joined The Copper River Group team in 2017 as manager of the newly created Accounting Practice.
Lynne graduated from Moorhead State University, now Minnesota State University Moorhead, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She is a graduate of Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Lynne also holds professional credentials of Certified Internal Auditor (Inactive) and a Certified Public Accountant (Active).
Senior Associate | Marketing
Bailey received her Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of North Dakota in 2014. During her graduate work, she focused on completing research on the radio industry. She also received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of North Dakota, with an emphasis on media and public relations, and minored in History and Canadian Area Studies. Bailey joined the Copper River Group after teaching an introductory Public Speaking course at the University of North Dakota.
Junior Research Associate
Kelsey Neisen graduated from North Dakota State University with degrees in Anthropology and Public History. In 2011, she won The Center for Public Anthropology Award for Excellence in Writing on Public Issues. Kelsey previously worked in a variety of historical institutions, including Bonanzaville, USA and the North Dakota State University Archives, where she focused on the preservation of historical documents and making them available to the public for research
Hannah graduated from the University of Mary in 2015 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Information Technology Management. While she attended college, Hannah gained experience in the financial industry through working as a Teller and a Universal Banker at US Bank. Before joining The Copper River Group, she worked for Sanford Health in Patient Financial Services.
Aaron has a Computer Engineering degree from North Dakota State University. He went on to be a Software Development Engineer in Test at Microsoft for the Dynamics GP product. After four years of creating and managing test automations he decided to switch from programming and returned to his system administration roots as the IT Manager for the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation. He has been simultaneously growing and modernizing all the IT systems there. Aaron joins The Copper River Group during the off-season for Medora, North Dakota.
Junior Associate | Marketing & Project Support
After growing up in Fargo, N.D., Madalyn graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Multi-Media Journalism. Before joining the Copper River Group, Madalyn worked at several publications in the local area including Spotlight Media and the Fargo Forum. For the past nine summers she has worked at the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in the press box as the Music-Media Operator. When she's not at work you can frequently find her spending time with friends and family or losing her voice at a sporting event.
